About Us

Pat Doran Construction is an award-winning family run business based in Kildare. In operation since 1983, we have a long history of successfully completing construction projects in both the domestic and commercial sectors. In recent times we have responded to the market demand for buildings that are more energy efficient in both new build and deep energy retrofit. We have become specialists in both Passive House and Near Zero Energy Building (NZEB) standards.

Consequently we are acutely aware of the importance of air tightness and putting the building fabric first in construction, to deliver an insulation envelope free of thermal or ‘cold bridging’. This is the key, we believe, to the delivery of new high performance buildings, future-proofed against rising energy costs, buildings that will always be sustainable.

We are registered with the Construction Industry Federation (CIF), the Construction Industry Register Ireland (CIRI) and Homebond.
