Pat Doran Construction
Pat Doran Construction is a family run business based in Kildare. In operation since 1983, we have a long history of successfully completing construction projects in both the domestic and commercial sectors. In recent times we have responded to the market demand for buildings that are more energy efficient in both new build and deep energy retrofit. We have become specialists in both Passive House and Near Zero Energy Building (NZEB) standards.
Consequently we are acutely aware of the importance air tightness and putting the building fabric first in construction to deliver an insulation envelope free of thermal or ‘cold bridging’. This is the key we believe to the delivery of new high performance buildings future proofed against rising energy costs, buildings that will always be sustainable.
We are registered with the Construction Industry Federation (CIF), the Construction Industry Register Ireland (CIRI) and Homebond.
Company Director / Senior Project Manager
A qualified carpenter, Pat established the business in 1983. He quickly established a reputation for quality which has ensured the companies longevity through both boom and recession. His experience has included managing large scale commercial projects, renovation and restoration works and a vast number of new residential homes. Through all these projects he has been commended for his attention to detail, professionalism and ability to finish to a high standard within the constraints set by time and budget.
It is this proven track record that makes Pat uniquely equipped to build and retrofit homes to the new rigorous low energy standards set down by the 2011 Building Regulations and beyond to Passive House level. He holds a certificate in 'Passive House Systems' from the Komzet Centre for Vocational Excellence in Germany and is a Certified Passive House Tradesperson.
